When one of our users says that they print and nothing actually prints on the printer, I review the Application log and see an error refering to the PrintIsolationHost.EXE. The print driver is the HP Universal PCL6 v5.6
Windows 7 64 bit is our OS version.
Our Office 2010 version is 32bit.
Print server is a Windows 2008 R2.
The HP print drivers on the Windows 7 client are installed as Type 3 - User Mode
On the Windows 2008 R2 print server, the HP print drivers show up as being installed in the Driver Isolation as Shared.
Being a law firm, printing is very important and when things don't work, folks get frustrated.
Should we remove all printer packages and re-install the print driver packages?
What about the driver isolation mode? Keep it shared on the windows server? What about the Windows 7 client side? Change it?
Are we making a mistake by using Windows 7 64bit and the 32bit version of Office 2010?
Anyone's feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ron
