Migrating from Windows Server 2003 to 2012 R2

I used Printbrm to export my printers from Server 2003 to a file and I want to import them to my 2012 R2 server.  However, I want to keep the other print server operational until I implement my script to change print servers on each client. So my question is can I run both in parallel?
