Printers are not being redirected via Easy Print. Instead are looking for the drivers on the server.

Hi,

I'm currently working on a clients hosted server as they are having trouble printing. When they log in the server doesn't redirect any of their local printers via easy print. When checking event logs there are errors for each printer saying that the driver is unknown, and needs to be installed. 

The issue seems to occur from any machine when connecting via RDP. So far I've checked the following;

  • All windows updates done on client side.
  • All windows updates done no server side. 
  • Checked for group policy settings blocking easy print. 
  • Rebooted server
  • Changed local print driver (running out of ideas at this point, as all printers installed work on other machines)

Has anyone come across this previously, and maybe shed some light on it.
