Hi,
We have a Win 7/Server 2013/Off 365 environment.
Currently we are implementing a Managed Print Service with a FollowYou print solution.
FollowYou means, you print into a common queue, walk up to a printer, authenticate yourself at the printer (usually with a rfid badge) and get your print outs.
One advantage is that you are able to send several docs to the printer and fetch them all at once without browsing through all the sheets in the output bin. Another advantage: if the chosen printer is busy or defective you can just walk up to the nearest device and fetch your print outs there.
Most users walk up to the printer and complain that they have to wait until the documents are printed. Before they came to the device and the docs were already there.
So we would like to give them the opportunity to print out large documents over a direct queue, the way they did it before.
Problem you quickly see that the users set this queue as "default" and so a lot of benefits of the concept get lost.
Pls don't let us discuss about the sens of the concept.
My question is:
Is it possible to avoid that users set one specuial queue as default?
