I've been racking my brain and combing through the interwebz in an attempt to locate a similar issue to the one I'm experiencing. I've come up empty, same as my http://servername/printers page.
As the title indicates, I have installed Internet Printing on my print server (Windows 2008 Standard R2), there are printers installed on the print server and they are in use and I can confirm that those printers are working.
When I connect to the /printers page, I get the banner and the column headers but that's it. The list of printers that I should see is not there. From my understanding, installing the feature and allowing anonymous access to the site should be all that is required, but I feel that I've missed a small step in this process.
Background:
I inherited the management of this sever from the previous admin. When I started my review I noted that this site was inaccessible for the Domain Users as well as being denied locally. I changed the authentication security on the site, restarted the print spooler and then iisreset the web server to ensure that all the changes were settled.
When I connected to the site the page was blank. I scratched my head and did a full removal and re-add of the Internet Printing feature. Again, after the install restarting the above mentioned services in order.
I read somewhere that the printers have to be listed in the AD for them to show up. I didn't put much weight to that as all but a few are listed. As a test I made a change to one of the ones that wasn't to see if I'd get it to list in the site but nothing happened. The site was/still is without a list of printers.
Any thoughts or help with this would be great as its a new service that I'd love to launch here for our geographically disperse clients.
