All,
I used the following method to remove unwanted WSD ports from my Windows Server 2008 print server:
- I could not delete WSD ports found on our print server as the print server thought they were still in use.
- Did some Googling and found a few posts suggesting this method to get rid of WSD ports:
- Create a dummy print queue
- Assign it the WSD port you want to remove
- Delete the dummy queue
- Repeat for each WSD port
However, when I did this the legitimate (TCP/IP) print queue was deleted and I had to recreate it.
Does this behavior make sense to anyone?
