Slow printing from a Windows Service to a shared printer on another Server

Hi all,

I have a 2 servers, testserver1 and testserver2 with a HP laser 400 color printer installed on testserver1. i have shared out this printer on testserver1 so i access it via \\testserver1\hplaser from other machines such as testserver2. If i create a text document on testserver2 and print to \\testserver1\hplaser it prints out the file straight away but...

We have developed an application here inhouse which runs as a Windows Service. the Service is used a Scheduler so as that invoices, picks, etc are auto printed when an invoice is created. however when an invoice is set to be printed using this Windows Service it could take up to 5 minutes for the printout to appear. On other test machines we have not seen this issue only on "testserver2".

The drivers look to be installed fine as I printed with notepad as mentioned earlier. But I'm not sure why there is such a delay, it must be something to do with Windows Service? I've tried the LocalSystem account on the service as well as local Administrator users, etc.

Any help would be great as to determine what is happening here.
