Interesting issue. We started having users network printer randomly go offline, back online, and offline again. Now users printers are not showing up at logon. This happens on Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Server R2(w/Citrix XenApp).
When they try to add a printer, they get errors of.."Cannot connect"..and sometimes.."Access Denied". They are allowed to add printers in their locations, and always have been. Sometimes during browsing for a printer, the objects don't appear.One work-around, is if an admin logs into their machine, and adds the printer the same way, their printers appear out of nowhere. In the case of Windows 2008 Server, if I (as an admin) login to a server that a user has a Terminal Server/Citrix session on, and add that user's network printer, then have the user try and re-add that printer..POOF....thier normal network printers all of a sudden re-appear.
Has anyone seen this ?
