I've just set up a Windows Server 2012 Cluster and included a HA Printing in a VM.
The VM printing server is fine, but Im having a little problem managing the server remotely.
Since we will be having about 4 people managing the printers, I'd prefer them using Print Management in their own computer rather than using remote desktop connections.
I've connected successfully through Print Management in 2 remote Windows Boxes, I can see the printers, drivers, etc. However I cannot seem to add a printer.
I set up IP address, drivers & share names just fine, it's when I get to the last stage in "Installing Printer" I get the error "Printer installation failed. This operation returned because the timeout period expired".
The Print Server is on a different Subnet, when I change the remote computer to be in the same subnet, new printers add just fine.
It seems like a network problem, but I cannot seem to find anything on Event Viewer in the Server or the remote machines.
What else can I do to sort this out?
