Hello,
I feel as though I am missing something very simple, but the answer eludes me.
The configuration is quite simple.
Site 1 Configuration:
2 virtual Windows 2012 R2 servers, one acting as AD DC, and one as a member server. I have passed a PCI 56k fax modem through VMWare to the member server and setup a Fax Server on the member server. I have 5 users that RDP to the member server to access their applications, including the fax, and it works perfectly.
Site 2 Configuration:
1 virtual Windows 2012 R2 Server joined to the the Site 1 domain via a VPN. Again, 5 users RDP into this server for access to their applications. I can browse to / see the shared fax on the member server back at Site 1. When I double click and add the fax printer it installs but comes up with an "Can not locate mgrOCsvr.exe", basically it can't find Windows Fax / Scan Manager when you try to print to it. I've added Fax Server to the Site 2 server, which didn't help either. When Windows Fax and Scan asks if there is a local fax or network fax device, it doesn't allow me to add \\<site one member server name or IP\Fax.
I assumed from the remote server, this would be as simple as double click the shared fax, install and go.
I would appreciate any input as to what I am doing wrong, or if this can even be done between 2 Windows 2012 R2 Servers in an RDP environment.
Thank you for any information that can be provided.
Thanks,
Luke
